What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?

CBT, or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy looks at how we think (cognitions) and what we do (behaviours) and how these impact on each other and the way we feel.

CBT has been proved to help effectively treat a wide range of problems and it is recommended in the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines for the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders.
